PSP comes with its own negative aspects as well – while it scores high on screen size, clarity and resolution it falls flat when comes to its audio capabilities. This factor pulls down PSP too badly as game lovers who are stimulated by the sound effects of higher end games find PSP bland. Moreover, the wide lustrous screen and its susceptibility to unfriendly smudges and fingerprints irritate you at times. The awkward buttons and pad tires your fingers.

The placement of the AC power socket is not well thought out – it is an annoying disturbance when you use your PSP on AC power supply. It could have been better with little bit of ergonomic thinking.

The UMD drive though offers great storage capacity runs like a hard disk of your desktop with an annoying noise. However, you will grow deaf to it as you get used to the noise. Moreover, you grow in your patience as the PSP takes its own sweet time to load games and to move from one level to the other.
