London Parks
The capital city of Great Britain is not only vibrant with activity and cluttered with buildings but also has open space and greenery in the form of London parks for the people who love peace and prefer to relax in the lap of nature.
The main attractions amongst all the parks in London are the eight Royal parks, which were the hunting grounds for the royal family. The common public now visits these eight London parks as the hunting has stopped and the gates have opened for public visit. The most famous park amongst these eight Royal parks is the Hyde Park that is a part of the strand on the western side. The other three Royal parks London in the strand are St. James’s park, Kensington gardens, and the Green Park.
Only one park is on the north side and that is the Regent’s park. Rest of the three Royal London parks is located in a suburb that is in the southeast and the south-west of London. The total number of parks in London are many but the eight best London parks that are rated by the public as having all the facilities of relaxation and entertainment for the entire family are the Battersea Park, Green Park, Chelsea Physic garden, Kensington gardens, Hampstead Heath, St. James’s park, Regent’s park, and Victoria Tower gardens. These parks have enough space for cycling or jogging or for children those who want to play different types of games in the park or even for those people who want to take their dogs for a stroll in the park.
